We specialise in pre-booked airport, rail, seaport, school contract, and long-distance work across Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside, and Northumberland. We work with professional, self-employed drivers who want consistent work, fair treatment, and the flexibility to manage their own schedule.

Fair & Capped Commission

We keep things simple and transparent. Our commission is fixed at 15% and capped at £120 per week, with no minimum weekly charges. That means once you hit the cap, you keep 100% of your earnings for the rest of the week. No hidden fees, no surprises — just a fair deal that rewards hard work.

Pre-Booked Work Only

All our jobs are pre-booked, focusing on airport transfers, rail and seaport journeys, school contracts, group travel, and long-distance work. This means better-planned days, fewer short runs, and clear job details provided upfront so you know exactly what you’re doing before you accept.

Self-Employed Freedom

Work on your terms. Choose part-time or full-time, fit work around your life, and enjoy the freedom of being self-employed with no exclusivity — you’re free to work elsewhere if you choose. As a self-employed driver, you’re responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, and pension, but we keep things straightforward with clear job information and transparent records.

Requirements to Become a Marra

Private Hire Driver Licence

Drivers must hold a valid Private Hire Driver Licence issued by Newcastle City Council.

Licensed Private Hire Vehicle

Vehicles must be correctly licensed with Newcastle City Council and meet all local authority standards. We also rent out vehicles, so if you don't have one as yet, please include that in your message.

Enhanced DBS Check

An Enhanced DBS Check is required to access our booking platform. This must be completed as part of your Private Hire Driver Licence application and be kept up to date.

Private Hire Taxi Insurance

Drivers must hold valid private hire taxi insurance appropriate for licensed work. Proof of insurance is required before onboarding. Our Rental vehicles do NOT include insurance and therefore you MUST have valid Fully Comprehensive insurance for the duration of your rental agreement. Enquire for more information.
